Neuromuscular Disorder (EMG/NVC)

Electromyogram (EMG)

Electromyography, or EMG, involves testing the electrical activity of muscles. EMG is helpful in diagnosing neuromuscular disorders where the electrical activity of the muscles or nerves does not function normally.

Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV)

A nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test measures how quickly electrical signals move through a particular nerve. This test is useful for diagnosing a variety of different muscular and neuromuscular disorders. The test is often performed in conjunction with an electromyography (EMG), which is a test that records electrical signals moving through the muscles.
